Ronning to Return? ? ? ? ?

Rumour has it, that Cliff Ronning, wants to return to Vancouver, and finish off his career as a Canuck !

reasons to bring ronning back :

• Ronning has alot of heart, grit and determination
• He said he'd play for the league minimum salary wise
• He was entertaining to watch

• he's a burnaby boy, born and raised ( i think anyway)

first few hours at the coast :)

Well, I went out for a few hours today, to where i"ll be working after september 18th. Spent about 5 hours, meeting the people I"ll be working with, learning a few new things, and just generally talking to Brian, about my job, and what it will all entail and all that. :)

I got there in about 26 minutes, and I got home from there in about 35. So I think the drive won't be as bad as I thought it would be. I"ll just have to organize my schedule to coincide, with the non traffic areas of the day :) haha

I think once I get out there, and start working, it will be good. But for right now, it just feels all overwhelming! :) but I can do this! I know I can :)

with the help and support of my friends and family,... I can reach my potential. :)

I can't wait to start there.....

• Just think how close I"ll be ... to go in for a hockey game :)

seriously, Erin, you're a blast to work with... except of course when you give yourself concussions, and race across the restaurant on crutches.... and demand your staff discount, and sit in the bar when you're under age........and most importantly.. its really tough to work with you when you sleep in your clothes and come to work in them.... you kinda smell then

NO GST NIGHT AT WHITESPOT

How frustrating ! Somehow , someway, at some point in the day, Someone, or me, pushed some sort of button, or did something...... to make the computers think that they didn't have to charge GST on some of the bills tonite at work. Talk about FRUSTRATING!

Its so annoying, cuz if it was me, that caused it to happen, I dont have a clue what I did, so I dont know how to fix it.

it was no gst night tonite at the 'spot' ............

I hope someone tommorrow can fix it !

Well , the BC LIONS, eked out a victory ! I was at work, and was able only to catch glimpses of the game, but what I saw of it.... it didn't look to promising. It started off really slow......... I dont know much about football, but.. from what I saw of the game, it looked like the beginning of the game, right up until the fourth quarter, in fact the last few minutes of the game....... that BC was just barely hanging on!

BUT HANG ON THEY DID...... 19-15 .. the BC LIONS, the only undefeated team in the CFL.........

TRAINING CAMP !

16 days till the Canucks training camp starts. September 12............ HOw exciting is that? It seems like forever since there's been hockey, in reality, only a year and a bit, if you count the summer. For the die hard fan though, it feels like a lifetime! :) GO CANUCKS GO

it seems insurmountable at this point, but in a little over three weeks, and just 18 shifts, I"ll be moving on........... unless something else comes up! :(

Countdown starts over !

Of all the frustrating things to happen. My transfer date to the new restaurant got moved up about 3 weeks. So now I have to stay at my current job for much longer than I intended! My countdown was at 6 SHIFTS LEFT !!!!! Now I"m needed longer... I suppose I should take it as a compliment, but I just feel used. LIke a pawn .. in a game of chess..... expendable.... there when needed....and willing to sacrifice, cuz I dont mean anything! STUPID !!!!!!!!!!!!

Not to happy about it, in case I needed to clarify how I was feeling :(

That's life I guess. I suppose I can tough it out a little longer... i hope I can, I"m almost at the end of my rope though.........................

You just gotta hate it. Here I sit, with 7 shifts left to work before I'm transferred to my new job, and I"m still wondering if I made the right choice. I'm wondering what I've got myself into, and hoping i won't regret it...

Harrison Lake

- August 12, 2005 -

What a ton of fun ! We went out to Harrison Hot Springs with my uncle Trevor, and four cousins, Matthew, Christina, Sarah, and two of their friends Rachel and Amy. We rented a speed boat ( first time I've been on one of those) andwent tubing all around Harrison Lake. I'm paying the price today, I"m soooo sore! It was so worth it though. It was a beautiful day, the lake was the perfect temperature. It was great :) We stopped for a bit near Rainbow falls, and for the first time in my life, i got to stand under a waterfall, which was pretty cool, and COLD..... it was a great day! :) finished off the day at a little hole in the wall frozen yogurt place..family tradition. :) it was sooo much fun

Park, who was born in Seoul, will be paid $750,000 US this season.

The NHL finally got around to making a decision about the bertuzzi situation, and from my perspective it seems to be the right decision! Bertuzzi is free to play hockey this season, a fresh new start, we can only hope he makes the best of it !

HOW STUPID CAN PEOPLE BE?

Well, today with the help of two of my servers we stopped an attempted Dine and Dash.( For those of you who may not be familiar with the term, it means to eat in a restaurant and leave without paying) 3 or 4 stupid kids came into my restaurant tonite, ate, and when one of my servers went to get them refills on their pop, three of them took off without paying, while one of them left 10 dollars. The bill was 45, or something like that. We did not catch the three who didn't pay, but we did get the guy who did pay.... we hung on to him, kept him in the restaurant. Tried to reason with him to pay the rest of the bill, he said he didn't have any money... so we talked to him some more, saying we want to keep the cops out of it, but we need the money... etc etc.... he said his friends were gone, on the bus, and they weren't coming back, and then 5 minutes later, he said they were waiting for him in the car... so we knew.. he was lying............ we encircled him so he couldn't leave the restaurant, without running one of us over..... :)After about 30 minutes of explaining to him, that we needed the rest of the money, from him, his friends or his parents... or we would be calling the cops.... and him argueing back .. saying it wasn't his fault etc etc..... I finally lost patience, and said... that's it, I"m calling the cops... i walked to the phone, when all of a sudden he "remembered" he had his debit card, and paid for the bill. Seriously... what jerk. this all could have been avoided.................

Now that I've made my decision to leave my current job, and venture out into the unknown...... I just want to leave now, quit, never go back. The little things are really bothering me right now. Anything that can go wrong will, and I hate it ! I start my new job, August 29th, apparently........ and it can't come soon enough for me!

how much longer do I have to put up with all this stuff........... its driving me crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will survive...... I THINK !!

MORRISON RE - SIGNED !!

Slowly but surely the pieces are falling into place. Brendan Morrison, signed a deal, that allows him to remain a Vancouver Canuck for 3 more years . If the canucks can hold on to the core of their outstanding players, we will be in good shape come the beginning of the season ! I'm glad that Morrisson is back, all along he had said that he wanted to stay with Vancouver, remain close to home, so its nice to see that not all players are ruled by the almighty dollar $$$$$$$ :)

I'm so happy that Naslund and the Canucks came to an agreement. I came home from Oregon, logged into my hotmail, and lo and behold, I read about the re - signing, of our captain! :) best news, I had had, that day. :) yay !!!! My Canucks, still remain somewhat the same, retaining the services of our captain, ... is a good step towards attaining the ultimate goal...........

THE STANLEY CUP !!!

What a trip !

We left around 130 am, Monday morning, and we arrived in Oregon, at around 7ish.

I was so tired, but oh so happy to be there. It was a wonderful trip, even though We had to take Emily ( my cousin) to emergency at the Astoria hospital, on Monday evening. :) we were playing in the ocean, in the big waves, and she hurt her wrist. As it turns out, she sprained it. No worse for wear, she was right back in the ocean the next day ! :)

It was nice to get away, and relax ! I remembered my digital camera this time around, and once again, i think I got some really nice shots! :) We didn't do much, we went to the beach, did some shopping, went swimming in the ocean, took some pictures. :) Nothing special, but it certainly was FUN! :) Both the days me and emily were there, We were blessed with spectacular weather! It was awesome! I could have stayed alot longer, but alas, i did have to be at work at 230 wednesday afternoon. As it was, I was a little bit late. :)

The ocean was freezing cold !!!! BRRR~!!!!!~ When you first go in it, its so cold.....but you get numb, and you can't feel anything anymore......... then its fun , surfing the waves..... swallowing salt water........... haha.. you gotta love it :)

We spent an afternoon in Seaside. We had time to check out the internet cafe, which has been there for the last ten years, but we never knew it was there. :) we went down to the beach, took some pictures, went shopping. What a great day !

It was a great trip ! far away from the stresses of work, i had the time to just relax and enjoy myself. I really need to do stuff like this more often. I need more 'ME' time......

What fun though, I can't wait to go back again! :)
