Oregon Here I come !!!!

Two more shifts to work, and then I"m off for two days. :) This time around, I"m driving to OREGON ! Call me crazy, it will be a rushed trip, but oh so worth it ! I love it in Oregon. Its a place where I can get away, relax, forget about the troubles and trials of work.......and just take the time for ME ! I'm leaving about 230/3 in the morning on monday, shortly after I get home from work. I should be arriving in Oregon on monday morning about 9, if all goes well :) I"m good to go, I got an mp3 player installed in my car, so i can drive all night, hopefully without falling asleep......... Starbucks will be hearing from me on sunday night. ONE VENTI WHITE CHOCOLATE MOCHA WITH AN EXTRA SHOT OF ESPRESSO COMING RIGHT UP ! :) OREGON................... HERE I COME ....... This time i'll remember my camera. Not like my last couple days away. :) Here I COME !

Now that the decision is made........

Here I sit, decision made, at ease, with what the future may or may not hold. And I just want to leave My current job right now! Things that I've put up with , for the last two months, are really starting to annoy me, now that I know that I"m leaving! My last day at my current job, is August 28th. Let me tell you, It can't come soon enough for me! My GM right now, is messing around with the schedule, changing my shifts, taking away my day shift, expecting me to come in for a manager meeting on my day off............. and there is no way I will be doing that!

I CANNOT WAIT, till I'm done with that place!

granted I will miss some of the staff, but I won't miss some of them either!

ha ha

thanks to all my friends and family who helped me, listened to me and threw advice my way, in regards to this decision! :)

Summer's end is near

I can't believe its already the end of july! Where has the summer gone? The last two weeks, i've made it a point to go away on my two days off. So it kinda feels like i"ve had a summer vacation! :)

Monday and Tuesday of this week. I went to Vancouver Island. My favourite Uncle, and cousins live over there, so I stayed with them for two nights :)

Vancouver Island is absolutely beautiful. Especially when its sunny, hot and not a cloud in the sky :)

Monday we basically hung around the house, and relaxed. Tuesday we played disc golf, went to the mall, Drove up to Parksville ( beautiful) , played mini golf in paradise :) and then we drove up to qualicum beach, to watch the sun set over the water :)

It was absolutely fantastic. I was really kicking myself for not bringing my camera... I could have got some good pictures :)

anyway, a month of summer left............... i will make the most of it.. next week I think I"m going to Oregon ! :)

It's DONE !

The decision is made
I am leaving my current job and position, for a promotion and a pay raise :)
This may be the best thing to happen to me in a long while, or it may be the worst :)

Thats what I love about life, It always keeps you guessing! :)

Bring on the pay raise :) !!!!!

The Countdown

just hours away from making my decision. I should already know by now I guess. I did tell Brian I would let him know monday morning. Looking at the time on my computer it is monday morning. still no closer to a decision than yesterday ! i think, when the time comes I"ll just flip a coin!

what to do...... what should I do? I"ll miss most everyone I work with now, except for, well, maybe i'll miss half of the people I work with now....especially Darcy!

decisions decisions........
just a little over 10 hours, and then I have to know what I want to do! :)

that doesn't give me much time, if you take into account that i"ll be sleeping for at least half of that time :)
haha

I will make the "RIGHT" decision!!!!!!!!!!!

Decisions, Decisions part 2

Decisions :

Two days left, until the decision must be made !

Its such a big decision, I dont want to make the wrong one. Should I leave my current job, where I'm comfortable....venture out into the unknown... for a promotion, and a payraise, and an oppurtunity to work my old general manager. I hope I make the right decision! :)

But until Monday, i will contemplate the positives and the negatives, and i will make the right decision! :)
Right now, I'm thinking... to go ahead with it, and venture out into the unknown.......

But can I do it?
do i have what it takes?
Brian obviously thinks so!

I can do it.....

let me go to my happy place....... i'll make my decision there

GAME ON !!!

THERE WILL BE HOCKEY IN THE FALL !!!!!!!

the players ratified the deal today, a whopping 87% or something like that. Out of 532 votes cast, 464 players voted in favour of the agreement, while 68 voted against. I think the majority of the players just wanted to play hockey again. Time will tell.... who got the better end of the deal. For myself, I"m disgusted with both sides, if anyone suffered during the lockout, it was the fans. Granted, we all found better uses for our time, but Hockey is such an integral part of our heritage... for us Canadians anyway. It felt like something was missing.

I can't wait till September/October rolls around, and there is hockey once again !!!!

GO CANUCKS GO

now what happens to Naslund and Bertuzzi? the Dynamic duo, are they doomed ... destined to never play togehter again? As A Canucks fan, I can only hope this isn't the case!

Leavenworth, Washington

We went to Leavenworth, Washington. We had tickets to their summer theater, they were showing sound of music. So we left our house around 730ish, and we didn't get to Leavenworth till 515. It took us that long, if you can believe that? Due to road construction, and us stopping at pearygin lake, for a couple hours, to swim. :) It was a fun day though. The sound of music in a live play format was incredible, fully recommend it to anyone! :) I got some great pictures of our day trip tough, so it was well worth it :) it was a great day :)

PLAYLAND

We did go to Playland today. It was a gorgeous day! the sun was out, the sky was blue, and I got burnt !! it was fun though.
We rode the wooden rollercoaster probably about 5 or 6 times :) and a number of other rides...

and I finally did it. I went on the "drop zone" ...

for those of you who don't know. the drop zone,

the Drop Zone will definitely get your adrenaline pumping. Riders wear specially designed flight suits that connect to cables suspended from two steel archway towers. Fliers are lifted to the top of the towers and are in charge of pulling their own rip cord, hurling themselves into an unforgettable free fall.

it was amazing!!!!!!!

What a great day :)

Summer Mornings

Here I sit, after getting to bed really late, at quarter after 7 in the morning. Courtesy of the bright morning sun shining thru my curtainless, blindless window. Not that the sun is a bad thing, but I just don't feel ready to face the day quite yet. The sun kinda forced me otherwise. So I"m up, and ready or not, the day is here.

I REALLY NEED TO INVEST IN SOME BLINDS!
The day is ahead of me, now I need to decide what to do. My cousin was supposed to be coming over last night, and we were supposed to be going to playland today, but she didn't show up, so now I"m not sure what is happening. At least its a nice day out, and I dont have to work :)
PLAYLAND HERE I COME !!!!!

STUPID SPAM !!!!!!!!

JUST HAD TO VENT :

SPAM is ANNOYING.....

Decisions Decisions

What to do, when life throws you a curveball? I've recently been offered another job, with my General Manager that I worked with for almost 8 years. Seven of those years I was an hourly employee, and the last year, I was a manager. He got transferred to a restaurant out near the airport, and he wants me to come and join him there. There would be a pay raise....... but the commute would be way longer! I'm not sure what to do ! Where I work now, is ten minutes from home, I love working with most of the staff there. But saying no to this oppurtunity, will I regret it? Or is it the best thing for me to do. The oppurtunity to learn new things is there, but that thought scares me too.

What to do, What to do

Perhaps I should go to stanley Park again, and make my decision :) I seem to be able to think clearly there :)

Why Blog?

Why Blog? I've been asking many people this question, the past few days or so. I've come to a conclusion.... I will blog, cuz I can :)

A couple days ago, I was off work, and for some reason, not wanting to stay home. So me and my cousin took off to Stanley Park for the day. I dont know what it is about that place, but i absolutely love it. I leave it, mentally, physically, and emotionally stimulated..... only to lose it all in the traffic on the way home. But for a few brief moments.... I am at peace. Away from the trials and tribulations of work. Life is good :)

Stanley Park has served its purpose
